- טְרוֹפָאָהm., pl. טְרוֹפָאֵי (denom. of טְרֵפָה) 1) those deciding on defects of animals for ritual purposes, meat-supervisors. Ḥull.55b. 2) those who decided in favor of trefah, Ib. 48b. Ib. 49a שקילו … דט׳ seize the cloak of those who decided (make them pay damages).
